Shaping the Future of Offshore Wind:
Wood Thilsted at the 2026
Offshore Wind Conference, Glasgow

The Offshore Wind Conference 2026 arrives at a decisive moment for the UK’s clean energy transition. Taking place 28–29 January in Glasgow, the event convenes government leaders, major developers, supply chain innovators and specialists from across the sector to accelerate the next wave of offshore wind deployment. This year’s conference is pivotal: following the recent record-breaking 8.4GW awarded in Allocation Round 7, the UK is entering its most ambitious build-out phase yet – signalling powerful momentum for meeting national net‑zero goals.

Against this backdrop, Wood Thilsted returns to Glasgow with a clear mission: to help unlock the next generation of offshore wind projects and reinforce the UK’s position as a global leader in clean energy.

Designing THE FOUNDATIONS FOR OFFSHORE WIND SUCCESS

Wood Thilsted has delivered detailed designs for over 13GW of offshore wind projects globally, setting the standard for engineering excellence.

Reducing Risks and Maximising Value

As your end-to-end offshore wind engineering partner, we adopt a holistic approach – looking beyond individual tasks to how each solution integrates with the entire project – reducing risk and maximising overall value.

Development

We support our clients with holistic, forward‑looking strategies that maximise value from the outset. By combining deep technical expertise with long‑range planning, we enable informed decision‑making that sets projects up for long-term, sustainable success.

Supply Chain Strategy

The exploration phase is where the foundation of the project is defined. We critically assess the site’s boundary conditions – wind, waves, geology, and more – to build a clear understanding of the environment. This early analysis identifies potential risks and hazards, creating a strong basis for safe and successful delivery.

At this stage, we work closely with the wider project team to refine the details. We reduce technical and commercial risks through detailed assessment of site, soil and seismic data, optimise wind farm layouts, review foundation and installation options, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. The outcome is a robust concept with a clear path to delivery.
