Bruna de Queiroz

Lead Scientist (Metocean)

Bruna is a Lead Metocean Engineer with wide-ranging experience in practical applications of oceanography. At WT, Bruna has been providing metocean expertise to a large portfolio of offshore wind projects. This included developing of Site Conditions Assessment (input for Design Basis part A1) for a range of development phases (e.g., from early/concept stage, to detailed design), wind resource and energy yield assessments, and advisory role on the development and management of metocean measurements and hindcast modelling strategies, as well as sediment mobility, scour assessment and scour protection design. Bruna has particular interest on combining the wind resource and metocean disciplines, with the aim to reduce the uncertainties on design.

Bruna is also the team lead of the Climate, Analytics and Metocean team within WT. Bruna also completed a MSc in Coastal and Marine Engineering which resulted in a peer-reviewed publication.
