Wood Thilsted, the leading offshore wind engineering consultancy, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paula Thomas, as Wood Thilsted’s Chief Financial Officer.
Paula has spent over 25 years working as a Chartered Accountant across a broad sector of industries including engineering, manufacturing, and services. She has been responsible for building and leading finance teams that have supported the growth and development of a wide range of businesses in expansionary environments such as PE invested, fast growth and restructuring.
In her most recent group role Paula led not just the finance teams of the group but all group level support services from finance to IT and legal to facilities. She was key in raising funding for the purchase of a new site and subsequent sales & lease back, as well as the integration of two manufacturing locations as well as overseeing potential acquisitions while driving profitability across all the businesses within the group.
As a specialist in developing robust systems, processes and reporting that drive efficiency, Paula will work with the Wood Thilsted senior team and project leads to drive performance and best manage Wood Thilsted’s resources as the business continues to develop and expand into new markets.
