Wood Thilsted’s co-founding partner and CEO, Alastair Muir Wood, has today been named to the 2023 Wind Power List. The Wind Power list showcases the top 100 people that have had the greatest impact in the wind sector globally in the past 18 months. Alongside Christian Leblanc Thilsted, he has created Wood Thilsted, a design and engineering firm that has produced some of the most efficient and cost effective designs globally.
The Wind Power List has taken on global significance this year, recognising the major role individuals are playing in the wind industry by leading the most interesting companies, and by bringing out innovations that will shake up the sector not just regionally but across the planet.
This award follows a very successful six months for Wood Thilsted with key contract wins in Europe, Asia and the US as well as being recognised for innovations in foundation platform design, integration of climate analytics, wind and metocean as well as continuing excellence in efficient monopile design.
Alastair Muir Wood, Wood Thilsted CEO, said:
"Being included in a list of the top 100 people impacting the global wind industry is recognition of the fantastic work of everyone at Wood Thilsted across our 10 global offices. I’d like to thank everyone in the team for the ongoing dedication to innovation in everything from foundation design to geotechnical surveys, solving the challenges of floating offshore to the development of our in-house built technology platforms. Our integrated team working approach and transparent partnership with developers, fabricators and installers is what is enabling us to so positively impact how we design and build offshore wind farms across the globe."
